Privacy Policy

Üppward is a career-transition and opportunity-management service operated by Arca Futura LLC (“Arca Futura,” “Üppward,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). This policy explains what information we handle, why we handle it, and how you can make requests about it.

Information we handle

• Account and access information: email address, name, sign-in method, verification and trial status, and records that you accepted the Terms of Use and this Privacy Policy.
• Information you add: career goals, profile details, opportunities, applications and pursuits, notes, feedback, and documents you upload or paste.
• Connected-source information: if you choose to connect Google, the Gmail or Calendar information allowed by the source settings you choose, along with evidence and summaries created from that information.
• Service and activity information: security and diagnostic logs, sign-in and delivery records, and first-party activity used to operate the workspace and its reporting features.

Please do not submit passwords for other services, government identification numbers, payment-card data, or sensitive personal information that Üppward does not need.

How we use information

We use information to create and secure accounts; provide the workspace and its requested features; retrieve and organize opportunities; run source checks you authorize; prepare AI-assisted summaries or suggestions; send requested account and service messages; respond to support requests; protect the service; and understand first-party product activity. Üppward does not make career decisions for you, and you control whether to accept suggested changes.

AI and other service providers

Üppward runs on infrastructure operated by Arca Futura, with its primary PostgreSQL database on that infrastructure. The alpha uses OpenAI for some AI-assisted features. When you use those features, the information needed for that request may be sent to OpenAI for processing. Resend delivers account-verification and other transactional email and receives the address and delivery information needed for that purpose. Google handles Google sign-in or the Google sources you separately authorize, where those options are enabled.

Arca Futura personnel may access account information or submitted content when reasonably needed to provide support, investigate a fault or security issue, or operate the alpha. We do not currently use third-party behavioural advertising or web-analytics services. The workspace does record first-party activity in its own database for service operation and reporting.

The application and database are operated on Arca Futura infrastructure in Canada. OpenAI, Resend, Google, or their service providers may process information in other countries, including the United States. Information processed elsewhere may be subject to that jurisdiction’s laws. We remain responsible for information handled by service providers on our behalf.

Retention and deletion

We keep information while needed to provide the service, protect it, resolve support or security issues, and meet legal obligations. Trial expiration ends trial access but does not automatically delete the account or its workspace data. We do not currently promise a fixed deletion or backup-rotation period. To request account and personal-information deletion, email us; we will review the request and explain any information we must retain. If backup copies exist, deleted information may remain in them until they are replaced.

Safeguards and incidents

We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards intended to protect information. No online service can guarantee absolute security. We investigate suspected privacy incidents and take steps required by applicable law.

Your requests

You may ask for access to or correction of your personal information, request deletion, withdraw consent where processing depends on consent, ask questions about how information is handled, or raise a privacy concern. Contact the Privacy Officer at founder@arcafutura.com. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.

Messages and marketing

We may email you about sign-in, account security, requested features, and important service changes. If you begin account setup and leave it incomplete, we may send one reminder to continue; each reminder includes a one-click unsubscribe option. Üppward does not currently offer a marketing-email subscription. If promotional email is introduced, it will require a separate choice and include the required sender details and unsubscribe method.

Age, sale, and changes

The limited alpha is for people 18 years of age or older. Arca Futura does not sell personal information. We may update this policy as the service changes. If a change materially affects how information is handled, we will provide notice and obtain any additional consent required by law.
